About the owner

Mallory was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri. After high school she wanted to explore the world, so she packed up and spent time living in a tiny shoebox apartment in New York City. Although she had tried pole dancing before, it wasn’t until she returned to the Midwest in 2017 that pole truly took over her life.

Since then, she has been immersed in shows, pole competitions, teaching, and ongoing training. She loves flips, fonjis, and anything that feels wild and a little scary which makes the dynamic side of pole her happy place.

She also loves traveling for pole camps and competitions, and performing in shows that support meaningful causes, including Worthy: A Circus With a Cause which takes place in Centerville, Utah. One of her proudest moments was placing as a U.S. National Pole Champion in the Heels category!

Outside of pole, you can usually find her training and competing with her dogs in agility. It is one of her favorite ways to challenge herself, stay active, and have fun with her pups.

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS

  • Lindsey

    INSTRUCTOR

Lindsey started pole dancing in October of 2022 and came to her first class the way many do; curious, a little intimidated, and instantly hooked once she gave it a real try. A former musical theatre kid and lifelong astrology lover, Lindsey brings creativity, pizzazz, and a hint of magic to her dancing. She wasn’t naturally “good” at pole right away, and that’s exactly why she fell in love with it. Sticking with something challenging taught her the joy of slow growth, exploration, and resisting the urge to compare herself to others. Lindsey loves noodling around the pole to find what feels good, especially in socks and sweats. She gravitates toward low flow, floorwork, and freestyle, even though freestyle once terrified her.

As an instructor, Lindsey focuses on helping students build confidence, connect with their bodies, and find community. Nothing makes her happier than watching someone learn a new skill, surprise themselves, and reach a goal they didn’t think possible. Her classes are welcoming, supportive, and designed to help you explore your personal style while having a genuinely good time.

  • MANDY ASPEY

    INSTRUCTOR

Having come into pole as a complete beginner, Mandy believes you don’t need a traditional dance background to find your groove! She started pole dancing at Muse Pole Fitness in Columbia, MO in December of 2022 and quickly discovered that movement offered something special her creative career as a writer didn't quite touch.

Mandy's favorite style is sexy, sensual movement, and she brings that same freedom and playfulness into her classes. Known for her warm and supportive nature, she loves encouraging students to find their favorite way to move and their own unique flow.

As both a continuous learner and an instructor at Penny Luck Dance Studio, Mandy is always training, experimenting, and expanding her skills at her own pace while listening to her body. She finds it fulfilling to contribute to a welcoming space where dancers feel empowered and excited to grow!

  • AMY

    INSTRUCTOR

Amy stumbled into her pole journey in Omaha right before Covid hit, and has basically been upside down ever since. She had no idea what she was getting into, but pole ended up becoming her favorite form of movement, self-discovery, and “wow, I can actually do that?!” moments.

When Amy moved back to Kansas, things got a little trickier. Being hours away from her home studio meant spending the last 3.5 years trying to find a new pole “home", and let’s just say it’s been a journey. But for Amy, pole has always been more than the apparatus. It’s the confidence-building, the magic of finding herself through movement, and the friendships that make everything feel lighter.

Since that first spin, Amy somehow managed to compete in four countries and across multiple states, most recently snagging a placement at the International Pole Competition, Skripped Down. As an instructor, she's all about creating an inclusive, judgment-free space where every body, every level, and every style is celebrated.

When she's not in the studio, she's probably hopping on a plane to somewhere new… or snuggled at home with her old-man doggo, Zeke.

Amy can’t wait to dance with you!

  • Hilary Jade

    INSTRUCTOR

Hilary began pole dancing over 13 years ago, building on a childhood rooted in gymnastics and cheerleading. She was searching for an adult outlet that would let her keep flipping upside down but she quickly discovered a deeper love for movement, expression, and dance as a whole. What started as a hobby grew into a passion that has taken Hilary across the U.S. to perform, compete, and teach, locally, for nearly nine years. Her pole practice blends dance and acrobatic elements, with an emphasis on curiosity, control, and confidence. She especially loves helping students uncover their strengths and tackle their “nemesis” moves (even if it’s just for one victorious moment). Hilary’s teaching style is rooted in adaptability: every body is different, and she believes finding the right approach for each individual is key to both progress and enjoyment. She strives to create an environment where you feel supported, challenged, and excited to move. Hilary is honored to teach at Penny Luck on a monthly basis! When she is not in Kansas City, you can find her at her home base in Columbia, Missouri teaching at Muse Pole Fitness, working her full-time data job, or cuddling her grumble of pugs. Hilary is so lucky to be apart of this journey!
